Rather than lounge around a pool the entire day, why not soak up some marvellous warm sun rays at beautiful exotic beaches around the world? Of course, depending on your preference, you could opt for a calm and peaceful beach, or you might even prefer one with crashing waves and plenty of water activities. Whichever way your preference swings, we’ve listed down some of our absolute favorite beaches around the world just for you:
Ora Beach
Indonesia is the home of some of southeast Asia’s volcanoes, but it also boasts beautiful beaches, and one of them is Ora Beach in Maluku. It isn’t a particularly large beach, but when you see their emerald waters flowing through jungle islands, you’ll probably wish you’d taken more time off. It’s been dubbed the Maldives of Indonesia for a good reason, so don’t hesitate to enjoy yourself there.
Treasure Beach
If you’re ever thinking to fly to Jamaica, make time for Treasure Beach. It isn’t entirely a tourist spot since places like Montego Bay grab most of the attention, but in this case, that’s a good thing. This six-mile-long beach is home to a number of coves and fishing villages, and that’s just part of the charm here. For swimming and snorkeling enthusiasts, this is the place to be.
Tanjung Rhu
You might have heard of Pantai Cenang beach in Malaysia, but the true hidden gem of Langkawi is Tanjung Rhu. You’ll be greeted by some of the finest sand around, and if you’re a fan of crystal-clear waters, this should be on your travel checklist. Enjoy the warm rays of sunshine in this tropical paradise and be transported to what can only be called a truly rejuvenating experience.
Maya Bay
It’s easy to regard this Thailand beach as a rip-off when you see the huge numbers of tourists thronging the area every year, but there’s a reason why it’s so immensely popular. Even till today, the beaches boast pillow-soft sand and amazing turquoise waters, and with the looming mountains providing the perfect backdrop, there’s really no denying why it was featured in dozens of films.
Navagio Beach
Although this beach on Zakynthos Island in Greece can only be accessed by boat, that hasn’t stopped plenty of annual visitors to its shores over the years. Here, you can bathe in the beautiful Ionian Sea and just relax and let time pass you by. It’s also known as Shipwreck Beach, and that’s pretty evident when you see the rusted hull of a freighter sticking out in the middle of the beach.
