Yale University Art Gallery
Head over to Chapel Street in New Haven and find the Yale University Art Gallery for a one-of-a-kind experience. Glass House
The Glass House was designed by Philip Johnson back in 1949 and still stands along Ponus Ridge Road in New Canaan. From the images you will find on google, you may wonder if it is worth the trip, but the house is just part of a compound full of unique sculptures, a gallery of rotating exhibitions, and one of his buildings known as ‘Da Monsta’; a building with no right angles. The garden is also filled with wonderful surprises such as a gigantic, 30-foot sculpture and a Monument to Lincoln Kirstein by the pond. Essex Steam Train and Riverboat
Make your way to the One Railroad Avenue in Essex and visit this heritage railway; the railway is open to the public every day between 9 am and 5 pm, so keep time. This will be a two and a half-hour guided journey that explores the natural beauty of the Connecticut River and its valley.
