Connecticut Firefighters Food Truck Festival

The Firefighters Food Truck Festival is scheduled to happen between the 14th and 16th of September. The 14th will be a Friday Family Night where attendees will get to enjoy unlimited rides, music entertainment, and food trucks for only $25 per head. On the 15th of September attendees will get to celebrate the beginning of fall by sampling delicacies from more than 20 of the best food trucks hailing from the New England between 11 am and 10 pm, with a fireworks show at 9pm. On the 16th, the final day, you will get to witness a free-for-all Connecticut State Firefighters Parade, which will feature more than 100 fire trucks from all around the state.

160th Annual Guilford Fair

Head over to the Guilford Fairgrounds between the 21st and the 23rd of September and take part in the 160th Guilford Fair. The event has always been held on the third weekend of September, having begun as a Cattle Show back in 1859. It eventually evolved to become one of the most reckoned agricultural shows in the New England area but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the fairness of competition exhibited in the fair. This year you can expect to witness a horse and oxen pull as well as the only mule and donkey show in Connecticut. Other demonstrations will include rope making, spinning wool, open hearth cooking, and much more. Tickets are going for only $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for kids, and free for any children under 5.

Annual Paint Out

This event will take place at the Do Ngak Kunphen Ling Tibetan Center for Universal Peace on the 15th of September between 9am and 4pm. At the event attendees will have the chance to walk around the 100-acre park and watch numerous professional artists work in the open. You will also have drawing materials available to you at the venue, or you could bring your own. Attendees are also encouraged to bring picnic lunches that they will enjoy on the grounds after thoroughly exploring their artistic sides. Other activities will include live musical entertainment, refreshments, a silent auction, and a wet paint exhibition. This event is absolutely free and open to all.
