3 Things to Do This Labor Day Weekend in Connecticut

The long Labor Day Weekend is finally upon us, which is both bitter and sweet because as much as you get to experience an extended weekend, Labor Day is also a reminder that our favorite season of the year has essentially come to an end. Well, our Connecticut limo service representatives think that if it must end, let it end with a bang. We have therefore put together a list of some of the most exciting events scheduled for Labor Day in Connecticut this year.

Consider employing the services of our Connecticut car service for all your transportation needs during this hectic weekend, when everyone is bound to be out and about enjoying the eleventh hour of their summer. Our professionally trained chauffeurs will take away the burden of having to navigate heavy traffic and trying to find parking spots in the limited parking spaces. All you need to do is enjoy the luxuries and amenities of our vehicles and the company of your friends and family as you are transferred from venue to venue throughout the weekend.

The Historic Festival

The Historic Festival will be the 36th annual event of its kind and this year it is set to go down between the 30th of August and the 3rd of September at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville. This Connecticut tradition began back in 1982 and people from all over the country have been flocking to Connecticut ever since to enjoy vintage car races ever since, and this year, you too can be a witness. You will also get to enjoy a vintage sports car parade that will pass through the Lakeville township and will end in a street fair on the 30th of August. If you are a vehicle enthusiast, this may be the only option to view vintage models in a single location.

Odyssey: A Greek Festival

This will be the 38th annual event of its kind and is expected to take place between the 31st of August and the 3rd of September at the St, Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. Here you will get to enjoy Greek music, food, cooking demonstrations, dancing by the Odyssey group, culture, and much more. Senior citizens will receive 20 percent discounts at snack bars on the 31st of August from 12 to 3 pm. Other than the snacks and food you have to purchase, admission and parking will be absolutely free and open to all, so there is really no excise to miss out on this event.

Stuffed Animal Careium

This event began back in July and will come to an end on the 3rd of September at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. Take your little one over to the Maritime Aquarium and have them tend to Stuffed Animals who have been injured; the kids will get to use pretend veterinarian tools and treat the adorable creatures. We recommend this event for kids below the age of 10. Also keep in mind that all kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times for the duration of their stay.
