3 Fun Things to do on Mother’s Day weekend in Connecticut

Mother’s Day in Connecticut has a lot to offer this year and we know you want to make it even better than it was for your mom last year. You may be wondering how you are going to pull this off, but do not worry, our Connecticut Car Service has got you covered; we have compiled a list of exciting events and activities scheduled for this year’s Mother’s Day and we are certain they will make the day extra special for your mommy.

Mother’s Day Jazz Brunch

Head over to the Wadsworth Athenium Museum of Art on the 13th of May from 10am to 2pm and treat your mother to a delicious brunch as you are entertained by the works of popular artists such as Sinan Bakir and Theresa Wright for only $40. After brunch, take the time to explore the galleries either on your own or with a guide; whatever you prefer. There will be two brunch seatings: the first at 10am and the second at 12pm and admission will also include a complimentary mimosa or bloody Mary.

Connecticut Kids Mother’s Day Paint Night

This event has been organized by ConnectiKids and is scheduled to go down on the 11th of May in celebration of all mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers, aunts etc. This will be a paint night, where paint materials and designs will be provided to all participants along with an assortment of complimentary light refreshments and wine. Tickets for this event will be going for only $30 per head and all proceeds have been pledged to the ConnectiKids Arts and Enrichment Program. We recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance at the ConnecticutKids website to avoid missing a spot on the actual day.

Mother’s Day Flower Arranging and Wine Tasting

Try the Crystal Ridge Winery if your mum enjoys a glass of wine now and again. This event has been organized by Barn Door Blooms and is scheduled for the 12th of May; tickets are going for only $75 per head. This event will be a relaxing, private affair that will feature activities such as wine tasting (of course) and fresh flower arranging. You will be allowed to carry your blooms home after the event but space is limited and you need to make your reservations and purchase your tickets before the 4th of May, so hurry up.

You can also cancel you ticket purchase and receive a refund but, note, there will be no refund for cancellations made after the 5th of May due to spoilage of fresh materials that have already been reserved for you. In case of your absence on the day of the event, the organizers will allow for the transfer of your ticket to a person of your choosing. However, if you are unable to transfer your ticket to another attendee the Crystal Ridge Winery will arrange for the personal delivery of your flowers. You must be at least 18 years old to attend this event.
